Adeline Ong was only 18 years old when she was given her first cameo role in a local TV drama production directed by Aman Shah. She impressed the cast with her acting skills and was later offered a bigger part in the same TV sitcom.
Her passion for the performing arts was rekindled 8 years later when she was asked to train the students in her daughters’ school for a singing and dancing competition organised by the State Education department . Despite the fact that it was their first attempt, they managed to secure third placing. Then she was asked to train the school’s team for a State level Choral Speaking competition where they won first placing. Since then, she has helped hundreds of students to achieve their dreams . She has produced State, National and International winners in Story telling, Public Speaking, Drama, Poetry and Choral competitions.
Adeline Ong is now a full time speech and drama instructor who runs the Blubricks Speech and Drama Centre in Melaka . She believes firmly that a child is able to achieve great self confidence through speech and drama. She is a firm believer in the experiential learning process and cultivates that in her classes. She teaches hundreds of students drama and communication skills. Her students have performed numerous plays which includes Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Oscar Wilde’s Canterville Ghost.
In 2013, she collaborated with a ballet school called Classic Ballet Studio to direct a musical called The Magical Journey To Enchantia to raise funds for a secondary school in Melaka.
Recently, she conducted a drama workshop for MRSM (MARA) , Muar teaching 167 students aged 16 on the techniques of acting.
